Today was our classroom Marche! Students have been planning and preparing for quite some time and were super excited! Everyone did such a great job! Lots of homemade items as well as items from home to sell to their friends. What a fun way to celebrate our gifts and talents :) Students did a great job presenting their Oral French Book reports this month. Lots of creativity in these presentations such as puppet shows, great props and cool costumes. Way to go!

Some updates for the month of December Canned Food items - Please remember to send in canned food items for our "Lutins de la Charite". This is going on from December 3rd- 13th. Book talk presentations - Please remember to practice for the book Talk Presentations and keep in mind the date of presentation under "assignments". Classroom Christmas Market - students will be having the classroom "market" on Wednesday December 18th. This is a time for students to create something that they can sell to their classmates. They can sell things like: Christmas ornaments, cards, pencil holders, drawings, comics, magnets, jewelry, bookmarks etc. No need to send in money as they will be using their classroom money to make purchases. *Please note, due to allergies, no baked goods or other food items. If it is a candy cane, please ensure it is "but free". If you need ideas, please check my "archives" from last December and April. :) Secret Santa - The students REALLY wanted to do a secret santa gift exchange this year and I think it's a good way to build classroom community. They will be choosing their name this week and will have to bring in their gift on Friday December 20th. * Secret Santa limit is $10.00. P.J Day and Christmas Party - Students are invited to wear their pyjamas on December 20th. We will be having a classroom party that afternoon. In November we talked about Bullying during the Nationwide "Belonging Week". We talked about the 4 different types of bullying "
-Verbal bullying -Emotional bullying -Physical bullying -Cyber bullying After some class discussions and learning about the types of bullying, the students created Anti-bullying posters. They had to have a slogan and they had to talk about at least one of the types of bullying and how to stop it. They look great hung up in our hallway and I've noticed lots of students stopping to read them! Way to go grade 4's. Last week, the students got out to enjoy what may end up being our last warm weather day of the year. It was certainly nice to enjoy some much needed fresh air! |
