We have been learning about Canadian artist Ted Harrison over the past couple art classes. The students looked at many examples of his work, we talked about his unique use of colour and line and how he portrayed the Northern Canadian landscape. After planning our their art and practicing their lines, today the students got to paint their landscapes. Stay tuned for pictures of their final products!
Many classes in the school are working on Christmas themed placemats to donate to a local Nursing Home. Today, we paired up with our Jk/Sk reading buddies to make some lovely placemats that the elderly will use for their Christmas dinners. Many thanks to Mme Thomson for organizing this initiative.
