Here is a look at their creations.
In honour of Eath day this week, the school has been making an effort to promote environmentally conscious activities. Tuesday, for example, was "Paperless Tuesday". The challenge was for all classes to try not to use ANY paper unless it was from the recylcle bin. The students loved this idea! It was actually not too difficult to spend a day not using paper, and the students were quite productive. Another challenge set for the students was to create something using only recycled materials. They were allowed to look in their recylce bins from home and in the class and could use tape, glue, paint etc. The creation could be anything the students wanted. It could be something practical or something fun. The students were very creative, I was very impressed with their ideas! Here is a look at their creations.

I apologize for the delay with Part 2 of the Olympics ... there have been some technical issues. So without further delay...the winner(s) of the Ice Cube Olympics were: Sarah, Aidan and Javier's group as well as Liam and Arthur's group. Way to go!!
Their ice cubes remained in a solid form from 9:40 am until last recess at 2:30 pm! Wow! The first group used a styrofoam ball inside of a cardboard box and the second group used tinfoil and plastic wrap inside of a cardboard box. |
