On Friday, we had the opportunity to meet the Fossil Guy! He brought his impressive collection of fossils with him, which the students were allowed to touch and explore. We learned a lot from his presentation, and had fun too!

The students had lots of fun creating their Habitat Dioramas for Science this month. Last week, after they had presented their work to the class, we had a little "walk through" to show off our work to the other grade 4 class and a couple grade 3 classes. The students were proud to show off all of their hard work. Great job everybody! As part of the revised Ontario Health curriculum, students in grade 4 are now required to learn about the physical and emotional changes they will go through during puberty. The students have learned a lot over the past 2 weeks, and have been very interested in learning how their changing body with look and feel over the course of the next few years. Please keep the discussion going at home and talk to your child about what they are learning and about any questions they may have. Here is a link to a video we watched in class. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKfJ8w7XX6E Kids Health is also a great resource for both students and parents. kidshealth.org/ |
