We had such a fun day yesterday at Pearce Williams Christian Centre! It was a beautiful campground and the camp counsellors were energetic and fun. The students participated in several team building activities, made and launched their own rocket, played "Survival" and had a campfire complete with songs, skits and S'mores! After speaking with the students today, the general consensus was it was an excellent field trip, albeit the hot and humid weather. The students seemed to especially enjoy the Survival game where they got to run around the forest without getting caught by another predator. Thanks again to all of the parent volunteers who were able to join us yesterday.

Wow, June is already here! It was such a busy month of May in our classroom and the students were very busy working on all kinds of projects such as their dodecahedron book reports for French, their Religion books and their Social Studies Explorer and Ancient Civilizations posters. Not to mention lots of work on fractions and decimals, Track and Field try-outs (on the coldest day ever I may add) and participating in the meet for many of our classmates. Way to go everyone!
We are now into our last couple of weeks at school, however, the learning has not slowed down in the classroom. Some things we are working on this month include: our Public Service Announcements on Bullying, Probability and Transformational Geometry in Math, the Human Body in Science and fictional story writing in French. Whew! I think everyone will be ready for a nice relaxing day at the beach come July! We are also gearing up for the end-of-year field trip at Pearce Williams Christian Centre on June 15th. It's certainly going to be a busy and fun-filled month. |
